I completely agree about the joy of Chinese bookstores(although the ones in Taiwan are AMAZING). I'm glad that you found out about the Chinese graded readers, they are very popular and it's great that there is more variety available for people who are learning Chinese. The news that Eslite is moving to mainland China is fantastic, although I think it'll take some time for people to use bookshops in the same way that they are used in Taiwan.
