Quick links - Chinese students in the US
I have been thinking for a while about wanting to post more quick links, without having to write long articles, when I want to share articles I have read, or sites I have come across. Perhaps something like what Kottke does with his tiny links. Perhaps I could also integrate my Google Reader shared links somehow - but not all of my readings come through Google Reader. Either way, for now, here is an interesting paper about Chinese students’ experiences in US graduate school by the (unfortunately seemingly defunct) Higher Education Perspectives.

interesting paper.. interesting things the Chinese students noticed.. in a way I had no idea how much distraction there is to learning when you’re not familiar with the system, I am so used to the north american education I just take it for granted. I think you should pick up the challenge of the last paragraph and conduct a study of Chinese intl students experiences in NAmerican graduate programmes from your perspective since you’re not Chinese and you can diminish the bias. Come on, diminish the bias
Then again, I’m not too sure if there was so much bias. Maybe the author is just too self-critical. Which in itself is an interesting thing, no? You know more about it than me anyways. Interesting stuff!
